The Wrangel Palace

The Wrangel Palace at Birger Jarls torg 16, Riddarholmen, Stockholm has been the seat of the Svea Court of Appeal since 1756. Parts of the building have their origins in fortifications from the 1530s. The building mainly got its current appearance in 1652–1670 by architect Nicodemus Tessin d.ä. for Carl Gustaf Wrangel. In the years 1697–1754, the palace was the residence of the royal family.
