Villa Fridhem, Frescati

The villa at Brunnsviken was built in 1870 and was originally a summer residence under Bergshamra farm that between 1707 and 1917 was a fideikommiss within the Barck family. The house was a typical summer pleasure from the end of the 19th century, when stockholmers came out of the city in the summer. The building is dominated by a high two-storey punch veranda facing Brunnsviken. The villa has the usual details that distinguish a summer villa from the time, light painted wood paneling, carpenter's delight and a swiss-style design. On the plot there is an eco-temple and an antique sculpture depicting Myron's discus thrower Diskobolos.. Wikipedia
