Tivoliparken

The Tivoli Park is inspired by Gustav III's Italian voyage from 1783 to 1784. (Tivoli is the name of a city outside Rome). The owner of Tivoli, Count Gustav Philip Creutz, commissioned Fredrik Magnus Piper to draw an English park on the Tivoli peninsula. Piper was Sweden's foremost expert in English parks and Gustav III garden, s and landscape, s architect. He introduced the English garden style in Sweden and is the man behind both Hagaparken and Drottningholm's English garden. /Wikipedia
