Södra bankohuset

Södra Bankohuset, also called Gamla riksbanken (Old National Bank), is a building in the Pluto quarter at Järntorget 84 in Gamla stan. The building extends to Skeppsbron, where it has house number 42B. The house was built in three stages between 1675 and 1737 for the Riksbank, which was then called Riksens Ständers Bank. It was one of Northern Europe's first buildings dedicated solely to banking. Södra Bankohuset is probably one of the first buildings in Sweden built for office purposes. The Riksbank operated here until 1905 and then moved to Helgeandsholmen (now Riksdagshuset). The building has been a national building monument since 1935. //Wikipedia
