Student palace

The house was designed by architect Erik Lallerstedt and was built in 1925-1926 in Nordic classicism. Clients were Stockholm university at the time (since 1960 Stockholm University). The façade of the house has a high rusticizing plinth, the surface above is coloured with red sludge paint so that the brick structure is still visible. The gable is equipped with four high, white-slammed columns with corinthian capitents. The three gates of the entrance are flanked by four columns with sculptures, carried out by Ivar Johnsson, showing the heads of four prominent figures from ancient Greece. These are from north to south: Socrates, Plato, Aristotle and Sofokles. The interiors stand out with stucco and marble with many classicdetails. State building memory. Wikipedia.
