The city archive Kungsklippan

In 1943, the seven-story deep warehouse was inaugurated in Kungsklippan, Kungsklippan 6.
Architect Sven Ivar Lind, after ideer by Gunnar Asplund. Sven Ivar Lind worked after the war Gunnar Asplund's plans for the administrative part above ground with reading room and other public parts. Asplund had intended to reuse the blasted stone from Kungsklippan as facade material in the new building. But only the original entrance, which contained only the stairwell with two lifts from the Graham Brothers and a concrete staircase, was dressed in natural stone.
The building was built with red brick and glass facades between 1958 and 1959. The artistic decoration consisted, among other things, of a fabric in the reading room of Alf Munthe, an entrance gate in copper by Per-Erik Willö and sculptural works by Bror Hjorth and Robert Nilsson. Furniture and furnishings were designed by John Kandell. //Wikipedia
