The path of seven wells

The path lies in an old rough walk that existed back in 1915 when the Forest Cemetery began to be built and is intended as the path the mourners will go when they are going to a farewell ceremony in the Resurrection Chapel. The road is lined first by hanging birch, then ordinary birch, then pine and finally spruce. The idea of the different tree species is that the road becomes darker the closer the mourners come the chapel and the mourner in this way will become more and more heavy-minded the closer he or she comes the chapel. After the ceremony, the mourners headed out of the chapel's western gate to go another way back. That path leads down into a sink to lead the mourners into a different state of mind and return to life.
