Sätra Water reservoir

Construction year 1969, Sätragårdsvägen 200.The water reservoir stands 71 m above sea level on Sätra mountain just north of Skärholmen. It is a cylindrical concrete structure on slender concrete pillars built in 1969 according to drawings by the Water Construction Agency. The design is reminiscent of a classic round temple with an outer ring of 16 pillars and an inner ring of 10 pillars. The height above the ground is 40 meters, which means that the tower reaches 112 meters above Lake Mälaren's water. To get up to the reservoir, you have to walk in 218 steps. The reservoir itself has a volume of 9, 500 m³ of water and supplies, among other things, Vårberg, Skärholmen, Bredäng and Sätra with drinking water with the right water pressure. The water comes from Norsborg Water Works. K-marked Blue //Wikipedia
