Röda Bergen "Red Mountains"

Röda bergen or the Rödaberg area is an informal area and base area in the northwestern part of Vasastan in Stockholm's inner city. The area is bounded by the streets Karlbergsvägen, Norrbackagatan, Gävlegatan and Sankt Eriksgatan. The Red Mountains form Stockholm's largest integrated inner-city environment, which is characterized by the urban planning ideals of the 1920s and buildings in large estate quarters. Röda Bergen as a whole has therefore been culturally protected as a national interest since 1987. The name Röda bergen has the form Röda berget on Petrus Tillæus' map from 1733. It probably refers to the red-colored granite on which the district rests.//Wikipedia
