Riddarhus palace

Owned and managed by Sweden's knighthood and nobility. On top of the center risalites on both long sides are three statues of sandstone. On the north side (towards Norrström) there is an antique warrior with a knight chain, probably an impersonation of the Knighthood (Ordo equester). The warrior is surrounded by Prudentia and Hercules with club and lion skin, representing heroism (Virtus heroica). Mittrisaliten on the south side (towards Riddarhustorget) is a female figure representing Nobilitas, the nobility, and standing between a man and woman who can be interpreted as the military and civilian study. These are like the reliefs in the frontons performed by the sculptor Henrik Lichtenberg. On either side of the roof ridge are impersonations of the Motto of the House of Knights Motto Arte et Marte, where Ars or art is represented by Minerva, who in this figure carries a cross except for a book. They are performed in the lead by sculptor Johan Baptista Dusart. The four Obelisks standing in the corner of the upper roof ledge were built to act as chimneys.//Wikipedia
