The house of Norstedt

Norstedtshuset is a building in the Gråmunkeholmen 4 block on Riddarholmen in Stockholm, built in 1882-1889 in a rohbau style according to drawings by architect Magnus Isaeus. When talking about Norstedtshuset, the building is meant against Riddarholmen canal and Riddarfjärden(bay). It has been executed with a blunt angle with a corner tower facing north. The tower ends with four toursand, the characteristic copper-clad tower hood with steep fall. The facades are richly shaped with shifting materials such as grey concrete in the plinth, above in yellow rusticizing plaster and red joint-ironed tiled bricks for the rest of the building. The beams in the large halls are supported by cast iron columns. Towards the courtyard the house has a simpler, plastered facade. //Wikipedia
