Little Home

Construction year 1900, St Göransgatan/Welanders väg. “Lilla Hemmet”, also Welanderhemmet was a nursing home on Kungsholmen in Stockholm for hereditär-syphilitic children, that is, children with innate syphilis. The home was located on the corner of Sankt Göransgatan and Welanders väg. Frithjof Svensson, who was an engineer at the City Planning Office, designed the plans for a home in Stadshagen in 1908, with room for 100 children. The children generally lived at home until school age and after treatment became healthy. Wikipedia
