Small Ängby och the milestone

The lilla Ängby property was formed in the 18th century by being separated from Stora Ängby. The farm Lilla Ängby with a mangårdsbuilding was built in the 1880s by the ”snus king” (snuff )Knut Ljunglöf. Knut Ljunglöf's gardener lived in the cottage at Lilla Ängby. The farm is located in a culturally interesting environment. Several crofts have been around blackebergsvägen, the former route for the royals on their way to Drottningholm Castle, and down towards Lake Mälaren. Lilla Ängby farm and the croft along Blackebergsvägen were strategically located along the way for the royal and court to the ferry station.Milstenen at Lilla Ängby also stood along the highway. In 1778, the milestone at Lilla Ängby was set up by the governor of Stockholm County, Jacob Johan Gyllenborg (1721-1788), on the old road from Stockholm to the ferry point at the ”Bottom of Germany”(Tyska botten) for further travel to Drottningholm. //Wikipedia
