The block: Sporren 16

Sporren 16, also the EPA house or John Mattssonhuset, is an office and business property at Sergels torg 14 on Norrmalm in central Stockholm. The seven-story cubic building was built in 1960-62, as a part of Norrmalmsregulation, and initially housed the EPA department store and is therefore sometimes referred to as the EPA house. In addition to the department store, there were offices for John Mattsons Bygg AB and branch for Svenska Handelsbanken. The house was designed by the architect trio Stig Ancker, Bengt Gate and Sten Lindegren. The architects had the closed volume covered with dark reddish-brown polished granite tiles. K-marked green. //Wikipedia.
