Katarina church is a church building at Högbergsgatan 13 in eastern Södermalm in Stockholm. It is the parish church in Katarina parish in Stockholm diocese. The church stands on Katarinaberget, where the victims of the Stockholm massacre were burned, something that gave rise to the idea that a curse would rest on the place. According to a legend, the church tower should collapse twice, which it has done. The wood for the reconstruction came from the forests of Edsbyn and Rättvik, via Skogsägaerföreningen Mellanskog//Wikipedia
