Karl XII's Oak

In the south-west part of the park rises a mighty, now dead oak with a circumference of 640 centimeters called "Charles XII's oak". It is said that Prince Karl, later King Karl XII, played here with his siblings, Ulrika Eleonora and Hedvig Sofia, and climbed into the crown of the tree. The oak is listed as natural monument no. 219 in botanist Rutger Sernander's Natural and Cultural Monuments of the Stockholm Region from 1935. Today, however, the oak is no longer counted as one of Solna's natural monuments. //Wikipedia
