Runestone of Husby

Upplands runinscriptions 74. The runestone stands at the northern roadside to the promenade between Akalla village and Husby gård in Järvafältet. The inscription was created in the 11th century by a well-known runrist Visäte. The runestone is of granite, about 1.4 meters high and 1.25 meters wide at the base. Thetext is 8-9 centimeters wide. At the top is missing a piece of stone which is why the top text cannot be read. A repair is in the upper left corner. Opposite husbystenen is an bautasten without text. It is of gray granite, 1.64 meters high and 0.8 meters wide at the base. Why it was erected is unknown, but next to there is a burial field from the Younger Iron Age and it was common for unloaded stones to be erected on or next to the family's burial grounds. Wikipedia
