Rock carving ”Granbyhällen”

G:la byvägen Husby gård/ Granbygård. (Granbyhällen Nr. U RR1987 134) is a rock carving from the 11th century in Husby, Stockholm municipality. The runcarving is found on a stone's hob next to the old village road between Husby gård and Granby farm in järvafältet. The carving itself is very weak and crumbled. The carving surface is 1.72 meters high and 2.66 meters wide and is found on the north side of the slab. The rune text has a width of about 7-10 centimeters. The carving is difficult to sewn and has a symmetrical, slightly conical shape. The carving also exhibits a smaller band animal without rune and small snakes. It is said that the carving was discovered in 1941 by a conscript who was in the process of digging a trench guard during an exercise. When he slipped to the slab, the carving was released under the moss. The location ”Husa” is said to be a now-lost village nearby. //Wikipedia,
