Arvfurstens palats/ Crown Prince's palace
The Hereditary Palace at Gustav Adolfs torg 1 in Stockholm is a palace built between 1783 and 1794 for Princess Sofia Albertina, sister of King Gustav III. The architect was Erik Palmstedt and the interiors were created by Louis Masreliez. The palace has been used by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1906 and has been a state building monument since 1935.
The volume of the building is shaped according to the late Baroque concept of coherent unity, something that is evident, for example, in the design of the corners and the role of the roof falls in the whole. In the facades, a design language influenced by neo-antique is applied with large, simple motifs, smooth surfaces and finely drawn, thinly marked details. Tobias Sergel was commissioned to crown the extension over the cornice with a group in Gotland limestone showing two lions on either side of the national coat of arms with a ducal crown. //Wikipedia
