Mälarhöjdens School

”Röda stugan”(Red Cottage) 1905, Lugntorpsv. 80. The first school in Mälarhöjden was a two-storey building with red painted wood panelling and white-painted cabin knots. It was put into service in the autumn of 1905 under the name Johannisdal Elementary School. The building, which originally had three classrooms, is today called Röda stugan, is still part of Mälarhöjden's school and is used for teaching. Between 1924 and 1925, a new four-storey school building and a lower wing were built, both in sludge brick after drawings by Georg A. Nilsson. This was expanded in the 1930s.
In 1954 (still 8-year-old elementary school) a building was created with food catering and expanded teaching opportunities. The school has since been gradually expanded with new smaller buildings and pavilions//Wikipedia.
