Ältaån creek

Ältaån is a watercourse in southern Nacka municipality, just east of “Skarpnäck's farm”, which waters Ältasjön to Söderbysjön. The river that is relatively short (about 2 km) is crossed about in the middle of the old croft Brotorp by the old road to Älta. Two other smaller bridges also cross the Ältaån: one at the northern end of the river, near the exit at Söderbysjön, where Sörmlandsleden (a walking path) crosses the river, as well as a second, at the southern end of the river, near the entrance from Ältasjön, where a footpath crosses the river and then continues on a roughly 300-metre-long chip through reed areas on the western shore of Ältasjön.
