"The Restare-memorial"

Restare is a memorial at Gärdet in Stockholm for Swedish civilian and military veterans, created by sculptor Monika Larsen Dennis. Inaugurated in 2013. The memorial consists of a white platform in artificial stone (terrazzo) with size 10, 2x18 meters. The platform was placed over an older building foundation that probably originates from the farm Hesslingeberg, which was demolished in connection with the Stockholm Exhibition in 1930. On the platform there is intarsia of 10 millimeterwide stainless steel strips that form a mandala pattern. In the center of the plate stands a two-meter-high sculpture in white marble in the form of a tender bud. //Wikipedia.
